CONCEIVED IN 2003 AND TURNED INTO A RECRUITING HIGHLIGHT IN JUST A FEW YEARS

Michael Barlag had been organizing real estate fairs since 1995 when, in 2003, he and three HR friends got their heads spinning. He outlined the key points of his innovative trade fair idea on a beer mat: to design a career fair across all sectors, qualifications and generations.

Until now, the market has been dominated by pure trainee fairs, trade fairs for specialist staff from one sector or trade fairs for students only. For exhibitors, this used to mean that they had to be present at 2, 3 or even 4 events in just one city.

Barlag spent months fine-tuning the concept - and at the same time acquired 21 courageous first-time exhibitors who launched the jobmesse osnabrück with him in 2004. Thousands of visitors almost ran over the exhibitors' stands. Everyone was completely enthusiastic.

Setting the bar high - from marketing to service quality

It was clear that this successful concept should also be implemented in other cities. In more and more unusual locations, the Barlag team rolled out the red carpet, which became the trademark for a warm welcome and appreciation. For visitors and exhibitors alike! Today, the jobmesse deutschland tour with its 20 venues is considered the benchmark in the industry. High-reach campaigns ensure streams of visitors. Full-service offers for successful exhibitor recruiting. And a feel-good program, which is repeatedly praised in the highest tones, inspires the stand personnel.

Over the two days, I was able to get to know a great variety of people! The weekend was really worthwhile for us.
